As a woman who devours a Greek yogurt bowl every morning like its her job, it’s no secret that I was very happy when I stumbled upon Chobani Soho in New York City.
I mean, a place dedicated to Greek yogurt bowl? Yes please.
So, I recently took a trip to the hip dairy mecca and was generally pleased with how it went. Did I mention they serve coffee there, too?
At Chobani Soho, you can pick from two options: a half and a full. A hungry girl 24/7, I went for the full. From there, you pick what “Yogurt Creation” you want, ultimately choosing between taking the sweet or the savory route.
I went for the Blueberry + Power bowl which is plain Greek yogurt topped with blueberries, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, toasted sunflower seeds and light agave nectar. Yes, it was yummy, but it was something I could have made at home.
I ordered a cold brew to go with my yogurt bowl, and it was pretty good. But, like the bowl, it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had.
If I ever go back, I would probably order a more flavorful bowl, since the Blueberry + Power seems to lack a little bit of it. I really did enjoy the heavy amount of walnuts they through in there, given that nuts are generally expensive foods to supply.
However, the menu here seems to be pretty interesting, as it boasts savory Yogurt Creations, which you can kind very few places. Think Greek yogurt topped with hummus and za’atar or spinach and garlic dip.
While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the yogurt or coffee, I really loved this eatery’s location. Located on West Prince Street, it is in a cool, relaxed part of Soho where you feel as though you’re in a nice neighborhood as opposed to the “Concrete Jungle.”
On a sunny day, this place is one of the best I’ve come across to sip a cup of coffee and enjoy New York City. For that, I would definitely recommend giving this place a shot.
