It’s been a while since I’ve been in my beloved Georgetown, Washington, D.C., after spending my entire fall semester in London, England (and gosh darn it was incredible).
Nonetheless, when I headed back into Georgetown after taking a 7-month long break from it, you can bet I wanted to look my best/display my sufficiently upgraded fashion sense, thanks to my time in London.
I, like clothing brand Missguided, have been super into a good lace-up top. I think they are so sexy and feminine, but in an understated and appropriate way. This one is from Forever21. I paired it with some classic high-waisted jeans from Urban Outfitters and some pointed black booties with awesome gold hardware.
I think the edgy booties really compliment the sexy playfulness of the lace-up top. Yet, the basic high-waisted jeans keep it on the ground.
I obviously through on my “teddy bear” coat that you’ve probably already seen in this look here.
On another (very important) note: the weather in D.C. is beautiful, despite the fact that it was recently the victim of a monstrous snow storm.
Needless to say, my friend and I couldn’t pass up to grab lunch at one of our favorite spots: Dean and Deluca. I got some kick-ass sushi…
Later on, we polished our lunches off with some coffee from my favorite bakery EVER: Baked and Wired. The line was sooo long, that we resisted getting a cupcake and stuck to coffee 🙁
Is anyone else liking these lace-up tops as much as I am? Let me know in the comments below!
