Last weekend, I traded D.C. for NYC – damn, quite the change!
Quite the awesome change I might add. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve been to the Big Apple, and I thought it was finally time to share some of my favorite areas to hit up while it in. Disclaimer: this covers some. Not even in two and a half days could I make it to all the spots that I wanted to.
Funny thing is that that actually had zero impact on how awesome the trip was – that’s how amazing the big city is.
Enjoy recapping my NYC jaunt with me in not more than 15 pictures. In 15 pictures, I cover six sections of Manhattan, plus its borough the Bronx. What an amazing weekend getaway.
The stone-ladden section perched on the western corner of Central Park. It’s also home to a great indoor mall!
You should definitely check out the Bronx if you’re looking for some deliciously authentic Italian food, as Arthur Avenue is also Little Italy. In the Bronx, one can get an endless supply of canolis, biscotti and fresh meat!
Do I really need to explain the appeal of a lush, green park ladden with trees and ponds that is a haven within one of the world’s most bustling cities?
Chelsea/ the west side is home to the arts; this area is chalk-full of galleries and fashion designer warehouses. Not the mention, the famous High Line.
Greenwich Village is where you see Dan Humphreys on every corner; it’s home to the famous New York University, so you’re sure to find loads of college kids chilling in the area, playing music, reading on park benches and sipping their iced coffees from a nearby Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (which is delicious, might I add).
Where you go to shop and eat. Take my eating recommendation: The Butcher’s Daughter.
Home to “the Wolf,” but also to the gorgeous Freedom Tower and incredible views of the water (because let’s not forget–New York City is an island).
Out of all the regions I have showed you, which one is your favorite?
